Otchymochy?
My word, but I must get out and see a little more of the world.  I'm obviously missing out on some seriously good words!

Brisbane
I thought that otchy was a dance performed by mad Jocks, or Poison Dwarves, as they are sometimes known in a ramote area of the highlands known as Otchymotchy. Men in ragged kilts and tattered sporrans and under the kilt ...

"otchy" feet?

Is that an Aussie thing?  Or a typo?  I love it, even if only a typo!!

I hope you continue to stay sane.  I for one am away from home a good 50 hours/week so when I am home I LOVE IT!

Well see

for an artist that is the point.

HOME ALONE
Yes, oftentimes if not all of the time...the "quietest" place produces the most change. Thanks for the invite into the possibilities of home; where the heart is...

Oh Dear

I work at home and then come out to fulfill my contracts.

I like it best when my assignments are maninly from the computer safe within my own lounge room.

However at this time of year - most of my work is about exhibitions or is about attending exhibitions.

It is the time of year when everyone who didn't do their work diligently throughout the year begins to panic.. They then they try to force me to put them forward on the waiting list so that they can cover up their slackness.

Each year I learn a little more.

Each year I write my contracts a little tighter.

Next year it will get even tighter.

I have become more comfortable with saying no and setting boundaries.

Yesterday a teacher came to me literally 5minutes before class and said.

"Have you got anything planned I need something sone in a hurry?"

I didn't say anything sarcastic like.

"How could a teacher not have anything planned 5 minutes before she is due to 'walkon?'"

No I simply said ..."Yes I have something planned.  I'll do what ever it is next week."

And then said ...."Better hurry now."

Seems simple - but it took me years to learn how to do that.

Yeah, I am at home about 90% of the time, barring going out for my walk 2x a day. So blogging really helps me there because I at least feel like I'm talking to people.

That's good. Going out physically costs more time and money. Congrats, you've got it right for the incense solution on the puzzle.
