Don't be shy, Golden...
Too bad more of the witless wonders at Bloggit won't read, much less understand, your excellent article.

This was a pretty good post. I agree, that too many people use being human as an excuse. From a Christian perspective, I hate the expression, "just a sinner saved by grace." If we were, "just a", then why would God have wasted His time creating us? Sure, we were saved by grace, but we are much more than that, and I'd like to think God would want us to be. He doesn't want us to sit around complaining about things being hard and claiming that we are too weak. He wants us to fight and be brave, to be thrown to lions and into the fire...

Sounds like a trick question, Archiew.....
but I will take a shot at it. To differentiate between two hands clapping, for a normally configured, symmetric human being, we designate the hands "right" and "left". You will have to give me more details to understand your point.

Is your point that Pelagius was just as mistaken as the Church of his day? If so, how would you propose to correct this mistake concerning moral responsibility? Our "humanity" can be used as an excuse for failing, or it can be used as an inspiration to succeed. We can either reject moral responsibility and fail in life, or accept moral responsibility and have a chance to succeed in life. That was my main point in this post.

And how . . . .
does one differentiate between one hand clapping or the other?

Don't think TOO hard, I'm not that deep! We have discussed around the edges of the "humanity" issue before, over in your blog.

I love it when I generate butterflies in other people. Some butterflies are so intensely beautiful.

Golden --

-- I've printed out this and your previous post. I'm going to read them in a more comfortable place and give them some thought; then I'll come type in some comments.

Looks interesting from what I've glanced at so far...

I just re-read your comment and I have the butterflies all over again.  I can feel your soul and I can tell that you really do care.  I knew that though, the first time I saw you!  Your heart is immense...
