Artist,
Right on competency, practice makes perfect. I've started posting drawings in my T shirt blog. I'll think on whatever you've suggested here, maybe a comic strip with 1 or minimum frames. Thanks, I assume we're already working together here. :)

As matter of fact, you and other bloggers, have encouraged us to draw, instead of voluminous writing.

How do I get your complete drawing course link? I searched suite by keywords. Saw some of your cartoon image links are not loading. Eg. on: http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/women_and_alcoholism/110309

Competancy ency ?

is skill development in action

I suggest you just start developing a throw away idea

like I am with the Strelitzier (I know it can get pinched)

and then in the process the content and the skill development will emerge

start with something very very simple and we can all start posting too

soon you will forget you are trying to learn

 and begin

"just plain conversing for fun"

obviously the lil' Plover chicken are the poor quality prints (In the camera section) I am posting about problems and frustrations top quality I keep for publication

I would take it as a challenge to help you (or be helped by you in the process)

That way I could find out what others find hard about learning online?

Offers is there

Artist,
I've read your basic course at suite some time ago. I'll check again. Hard to explain about basic skills. Gone through a basic course but that does not mean competency.

have some kind of starting point

I can teach you for free here

I also have a free drawing class that you could read to get started

There is a writer at the suite that is learning cartooning too so that he can illustrate his humour writing

Submission guidelines - need time to consider. I'm searching for a good online cartoon course that really delivers promises. I can't trust the ads.
