SilverMoon, thanks.
Actually, I've been back around for about a week now. I just have to limit the intervals of time I can spend on the computer. Work is a bitch, but I gotta pay the bills!

Spitfire, you just KNOW those spiders are taking advantage of your reduced mobility.  Especially while you're lying there flat on your back, in too much pain to move an eyelash. Better keep that one eye open!  Take care of yourself.  We'll still be here when you get back!

Thanks jacenta.
Sorry to hear you have a pinched nerve! Damn. For the first few weeks I was so stiff that I felt like I was hung on a meat hook or something!

SpitFire70,
I am sorry you have been suffering with 5 slipped discs and a pinched nerve in your neck/back. I know it has to be very painful.  I am hoping you get better real soon.  I also have a pinced nerve in my neck and I know how that feels.  I can't imagine how bad it would be to have 5 slipped discs, too.  Take care of yourself and get well soon.  It's hard when you can't physically do what you want.

Thanks very much, curator.
I have been going to work, but it's painful. I just wish this would GO AWAY ALREADY!!! I'm SO over it!

I didn't know....
that you were laid up and in pain (ya remember I'm new here!).  Get well soon, pain is so demoralizing when it sticks around forever.

Thanks so much, Aria. I'm here as much as I can be lately!
Slow healing process but I'll never let it get the best of me. Well, at least not for the most part!

LittleMsP,
Thanks. Yeah, it's been totally sucky. I started feeling better as of Saturday, but unfortunately, today it really huwts again.  It seems to have traveled to the other side of my neck. Hmmm. We'll see what happens, I guess. Good to see you around again.

I guess you would not be a Spitfire if you were not a bit rebellious, but we are keeping up with you. Don't chase any more run away animals that the owners won't even leash. Be good to little Spitfire and rest.BB Cyber Mom

Spitfire, I see that I am one on the scary side.  But, Pitiful sure was glad to see me come back.   She acted like a crazy thing.   I think she thought that I had died too.

Spiders are known for taking an opportunity and running with it, I'd continue to sleep with one eye open if I were you. Baby Quirky has more toys to play with, so mischief is only a minute away.

It's nasty to be stuck taking it easy, isn't it?

(I mean that in all seriousness, sitting around on my butt drives me insane sometimes.) Hope you are starting to get better!

Sass,
But I think they take little nibbles off of me when I sleep. I haven't been able to prove that yet, but I bet they do.

It sounds very painful. As for the spiders, don't worry because they don't eat much.

JJ,
Where have you been? For some reason, I've been really worried about you. As I said in the post, I haven't been on the computer much lately, but you've been swimming through my brain a lot lately.

Spiffy,
I try and try to tell people not to attempt the Kama Sutra positions unless they have a lot of Yoga background.  Do they listen?  No, they end up with things like five slipped discs.  I wasn't able to warn you because you slipped you neck out of joint before the opportunity came up.  I'm really sorry to hear that it happened to you, but heed my words in the future.   jj

MidnightToker,
You totally rock! I am trying to hear the song in my head and I think I've got it! It's not corny! Maybe it's a sign that I should listen to it. Stuff like that that just pops into one's head usually means there's some sort of message! Thanks!!!

Aw, thanks Offbeats! My brain won't change though.
Even when I've kinda hoped for that at times!  Neither will my attitude. I know you love spiders and other creepy crawlers, as I secretly do, too. (Don't tell anyone.) I am starting to feel better since yesterday. I just pray it stays that way! Whew! What an experience it's been.

Lensman, you sweet soul, you!!!
I'm sorry that happened to you! Yeah, 5 slipped discs hasn't been the most fun experience of my life and I don't recommend it to anyone. I've never done anything like this before and you're right, you can't find any comfortable position. But, the good news is, I am starting to recover. I can turn my head from side to side without seeing stars and cursing the world. That's a good sign. hehe Oh well. Life goes on and I refuse to let some stinkin' discs ruin it for me!!

CB Andrews,
I'm in Tampa. The tropics seem to house taradactal sized ones, but that's okay. It's there territory, too. They just have it out for me. (You'd have to read a couple of previous posts to understand if you haven't.) It's all gravy now.

Blackcat, thanks...
But I am planning on catching up this weekend. I had a reading to do tonight after work and afterword, I ate dinner, watched a bit of TV with Mr. Spitfire, and then ya know what? I fell asleep on the couch. Woke up by myself cause he left me there on the couch. I was starting to feel better before that and since I fell asleep in the position I was in, my neck now hurts. I feel sorry for him when he awakes.

Spitfire,

Here's a corny comment for ya. I read your post earlier and immediately this old John Denver (told ya it was corny) song started playing in my mind. "Poems, Prayers, and Promises". There's a line that goes, "how sweet it is to love someone, how right it is to care." Thought I'd share that with ya for what it's worth!.............take care of yourself, gotta be in top form for Halloween!!!!!!!

I hope your body heals woman, but I never want your brain to change! I love your thought process and I love spiders too!! Remember they are just trying to get from point A to point B and sometimes a human is on that path. Feel better soon...

Yow, five discs?  My heart goes out to you times five.  I blew a disc back in 1985 and almost ended up on welfare, that's how bad it got.  So I can't imagine five, really.   There was no position I could find in bed that didn't hurt.  Staring at the ceiling?  I hear you.  That's all I did for weeks (well, I read lots of books, too)  One day, a friend called me and found out about the problem.  She came over and made me cheese and tomato (with mayonnaise) sandwiches.  I've loved those sandwiches ever since.  And her     Hope you get over this a..s...a...p.

those spiders...are evil. If there was ever any question about evil....
just let me tell you...it exsist in spiders.  I was in a hurry one day and had to tinkle one day really bad - so I shot into the bathroom without turning the light on.  One of those pee and runs.  About 4 seconds later I went to get up and saw a large black spot in the corner.  Curiosity got the best of me...and I turned on the light.  HUGE fucking spider.  I'm talkin' 8 legged freaks big.  After 5 seconds of screaming and jumping like a tit - I decided to kill it.  I run out.  get a dust pan...and find some steel balls......  I get up to it, and my intention was just to cut it in half.  But when I jab at it - I found out it was with child.  And when I say "with child".... I mean with about 5000 of them.  They went everywhere....little bitty tiny spots scattering everywhere, on my feet (AHHHHHH!) on the walls, in the cabinents, on the tub.  I run out and grab some bug spray and run back in and spray... nothing comes out.. it was broken.  So  I just scream at them for a while.  So I suppose there are a few thousand little bastards plotting their revenge on me...
