Thanks Crabby and desertsong. The first phone number that my kids memorized was the grandparents'.
Then, when my back was turned they would call them and tell them to call back and invite them over for the weekend or they would xall them just to tell on me, some stupid thing that I had done and tried to hide from the folks.
Parenting tip number 11: Dial the phone for your kids. Never let them memorize Grandma and Grandpa's phone number.
P.S. It was the first number that I taught my grandchildren to dial and we practiced dialing it before I let them go home. Now they call and invite me to invite them over and tell stories on their folks!

You forgot one!
TAKE THEM TO GRANDMA'S HOUSE!!! My kids love my parents place......the rest of their grandchildren aren't there enough to be used to it, so they're uncomfortable. I think it's very sad for their cousins because both my daughters feel like queens of the world at grandma's........grandpa counts too!!
