WWW, thanks for stopping by and reading, AND commenting,
My uncle has sent me many sufi books over our many years of correspondence. I bought his first widely sold book, The Prophet back in the early 60's.

If you were to buy an old book about him, I would recommend the one that I am using to blog, A Treasury of Kahlil Gibran from Citadel Press in New York in the 40's.

His variety is best shown in their volume.

This week I am reading my uncle's latest present to me, THE JOURNEY OF THE SOUL,The Story of Hai bin Yaqzan by Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Tufail and translated by Dr. Riad Kocache, about the awakening of the spiritual belief in man, its birth on an island inside one man, and how it happened.

I talk too much. Thanks.

In all my studies

I have never had the pleasure of reading Kahlil Gibran, but after reading samples in your last two posts, I believe I am missing out on something I should have in my own personal library!  Thank you for bringing the words of this man to my attention!
