Thanks.  It's good to hear from another martial artist.  Guess one of the lessons the martial arts teaches, no matter the style, is that everyone is our teacher...from white belts to black belts & all others we meet on our journey through life.

Quirky
"How did I get so smart?" you ask...Well, I've had decades of making mistakes, falling on my face, putting my foot in my mouth; then picking myself up and moving on.  In other words --- life experiences.  To say the least, I am still learning.  (at least, I'm getting good at picking myself up & taking my foot out of my mouth).

It's difficult to balance self-interest.  In some cases it can be a good thing.  Such as choosing a career that you feel passionate about.  Or dating someone that makes you happy.  As far as martial arts is concerned I find that there are many things to learn.  And just as many teachers.  I've been practicing Tae Kwon Do and Karate for a total of four years.  But I still find other forms of martial arts fascinating.  And I learn a lot from the black belts in my school.  From reading your post I'd say you have a good attitude.  Keep up the great quotes.

Yep--this is so true: "I learned that a small change in attitude results in BIG changes in my life."

However did you get to be so smart??
