No, Gubby . . .
I was not joking. The federal government's function is not to rebuild cities and states. That is the responsibility of cities and states, and any individuals or corporations that freely choose to help. Study the Constitution and the foundations of the words and why our founding fathers thought it wise to severely limit the federal government. We are headed for disaster with the feds running rampant with our money.

No-one ever gets such subtle jokes, so I want to be the first to say that I did.

...it IS a joke.. right?

Good question. I have nothing against helping the victims of Katrina. However, our Constitution strictly limits what our Federal Government is allowed to do, and Mr. Bush has far surpassed that, as have too many of our recent presidents. With the giving of money comes corruption, and that corruption is becoming rampant in our Congress and in our Executive Branch. It is not so much about compassion for Mr. Bush as it is about gaining political power for his political party.

Hello thank you very much for your compliments, but what have you with Bush giving out monies to help rebuild? Had he not done or said something won't you have flared up? I really won't want to be in the position of Mr Bush. He is hated all over and for really no founded reasons.
