So what if I might already know the story from a comment...

...it will still be fun to read it as a story here!

Just like I can--and I know you can, too--watch the same Shirley Temple movies time and again!

What a lovely compliment!
I've always loved Shirley Temple's spirit in her films and the real person who played all of those special characters. I have many of her films on tape. So, you couldn't have given me a better compliment for me as a child.

Just to let you know ahead of time, you will probably read a couple of stories on here that I've shared with you in comments, etc. already so don't be surprised. I'm trying to keep things somewhat in chronological order but I may jump around a bit as I think of things.

Talk to you later...

Awllllll...How adorable!!!

You were built like a little imp--and you, obviously, were!

A very creative, spirited, and influencial imp, I might add!

Although your physical description doesn't sound very much like Shirley Temple, you sound like her, anyway--both how she really was and the roles she played!

Hugs!

Well, I'm none of what you described...
I have light brown hair and eyes that change between green and sort of off brown depending on what I wear or if I've been crying or something. Back then, I had a short pixie and was very small for my age, which I guess makes this story even more interesting.

I'm not sure my Dad recovered from this defeat for a very long time. He was always considered a genius and very proud of that and for his two year old daughter to out smart him, his ego really had to take a beating. Oh, well!

This is so adorable!

Unless I missed it somewhere, I don't even know what color you are, so I keep going between this tow-headed little girl with big, blue eyes and free-flying hair, and this little black tot with lots of braids sticking out here and there.  But, of course, this kid has on this diaper and is making a fashion statement, and it plays out equally cute either way.  Or, perhaps, you were a little, red-haired, green-eyed Irish-rooted lass with your hair hanging in loose ringlets.

It would be neat to see a picture of what you looked like back them!

Hugs!
