It might be a little bit of both....

Fear can be a powerful tool. This is the first time I'm hearing of it, but I wouldn't discount it. The thing that makes me wonder is that religion is supposed to be about serving God, not about subduing the world and other religious denominations.

thanks for stopping by Writer
it will be very interesting to watch the events unfold.  I would like to believe there will be peace in Israel, but I truly don't think they will ever have peace until the Messiah returns.

Very good post!
Israel getting stabbed in the back for concessions is absolutely nothing new.  And yet they concede more and more. Fine inspiration for the Islamofacists.

Justsouno, you've made some excellent points.
I ponder this often -- the events of today which seem to be leading us closer to end times.  Thankfully, in the midst of all this chaos -- both political and natural -- God can still use the church to reach out to others and have a huge impact.  The news media has not reported much on how the church has been profoundly involved in working with Katrina victims. Thousands upon thousands of people are now being impacted by the church of God.  Yeee haw!

Janes This is an interesting and informative post. They are making great
strides toward this very thing right now. I believe the Jews are in trouble over giving up what God told them not to give up. The Scripture says to watch for the signs: All the world will come against Israel. Great earthquakes in diverse places (the Tsunami earthquake was the largest ever measured). The vulgar stance of the world in general. If you believe in pre-trib I believe we are so close. Scripture says all the martyrs will be beheaded. Who are the beheading experts of the world. China has enough men right now to man the last war.

so right, twodog,
isn't it fascinating how we haven't heard a peep out of NOW pertaining to the treatment of Afghani women (potentially any Muslim woman anywhere!).  What's up with that?  By speaking out against the brutal treatment of women condoned by the Koran, they're probably afraid that they may appear to be condoning the war.

And then, of course, there is honor killing. I wonder why NOW isn't absolutly twisted into knots over that Islamic practice. The importance of the Second Amendment to the Constitution is becoming more critical by the hour.

Ya'all are very amusing, thanks for the chatter.

I know what I'd use a burqa for (cut up in pieces, of course), the same sort of thing corn cobs were once used for, but OUCH I'm certain I just royally offended someone.

This weekend I just read about the way Afghani women were treated by the Taliban.  It was absolutely horrifying, their treatment (I'm certain it's still going on in some places), which is why I feel rather comfortable making the above statement (as to what I'd do with a burqa).

The thought of Islamic rule over the world is horrifying to me.  Sure, it may be OK for men, but women are mere chattel.  Forget it!

I read the first part of your comment, and I thought that you thought one wears a burqa on the headLOL

Silly me!

JanesOpinion, I don't even like my feet inclosed in shoes let alone a burqa covering my head.  I wouldn't be able to breathe.  I hope not to live long enough to see that.   I do think that it is possible.

Indeed so

Ariel70, I agree with you . . .
we go about our daily lives seemingly clueless to the fact that we are being boiled alive, so to speak.

Scoop, I'm afraid you're right --
I fear that all our efforts to fight them will be inadeqaute.

Jane

What you ask is all too believable, and our complacency and blindness is likely to be our undoing.

There are uncanny echoes of the 1930s in this, when people didn't want to see the threat of the dictators, and appeased them at any cost, so long as life went on imrpoving.

We are are so obsessed with our material comforts that we cannot - or won't - see the wolf at the door

Actually their mind games work, how many times since 9/11

have we seen tapes from them playing with our minds and then there are those who say, "Well it is a good thing we invaded Iraq because as you see nothing has happened here in the USA."

Bull.

There was an 8 year gap between the first Twin Tower attack and 9/11. Meanwhile they hit other areas before 9/11 like the USS Cole and others. And of course in recent months they have struck other countries.

They take their time, they plan and the snake will strike here again.
