Hey Lib,

What we've got right now is a bunch of people driving around town looking like they're on vacation. I have yet to see actual "displaced" folks. I hear they have set up Toney Burger Center (a high school indoor stadium) as a location.

Are you guys getting a lot of displaced people in Austin? We're going to get about 25K. Reunion Arena is full now, and they're taking them to the Convention Center, and a basically empty mall in one of the suburbs.

it's really so so sad... mob mentality has taken over.

I've also heard they shot at a ship, although I haven't seen that story in print, and at the medical help at the hospital.  Men are raping the women at the convention center......

The mayor is actually blaming the crime and violence outbreaks on the drug addicts in need of a fix...

This makes the jobs of the rescue workers more difficult as well as shows just how noble they are. Not everyone deserves to be saved, but they won't make such judgement calls. They are willing to risk their lives for all.

People can be pretty pathetic, can't they? Who the hell would be trying to shoot the help down? I couldn't believe my ears when I heard that story on the news.
