AHH, DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT
Just speak up for what's right, and you'll never go wrong. Remember WWJD = ) ! He'll not only help you with the words, but he will also bless you with his many blessings. I understand the ignorance that people may have been raised with, bt my young adult children don't, because we come from the Bronx, NY. So they don't take very well, and when they see it done to me, they become very indignant. And the mother has to come out. Thanks for writing. With His love and Peace mellyn

oh lordy...

I'm so glad you shared that story with me!   Sometimes I cannot believe the stupidity of people around here. The sad thing is that I find myself talking like these people......LORD HELP ME!

What really bothers me around here is how racism is still so easily accepted in this state.

To: IN GEORGIA TOO

When I first got here from New York, I had a bad case of culture shock.  I'm Puerto Rican, with brown Indian skin and black hair.  Georgians did not know what to make of me LOL.  I could hear the whispers as I passed by, and their stares; it was so sad it was almost comical.  One day this lady, an old black woman, they and us are the only ones that are not afraid to be blunt, asked me, " what is you? are you Injen, are you Nigress, or are you Mexican?"  I started to laugh and hugged her, she was so cute, and as she loosened herself from my hug, she said, "well?"  I went on to tell her that I was P.R. she yelled what!? porro what?  I just explained.  Made a beutiful friend with alot of stories to  tell.  It has astonished me that most people here don't even know that we are citizens or that we are a commonwealth of their country; they have actually asked me for a Green Card, how dumb is that, huh.  Good writting and hearing from you;  I'm going to check out your writing.

With His Peace I leave yo,

In Georgia too

I am in Georgia too and I hate it here.  The part of Georgia I'm in has the rudest people I have ever come across. I suppose it could be the racism talking....oh wait it is cause i'm Mexican married to a White soldier with a blonde haired blue eyed baby boy that I carry on my hip. It gets more and more obvious that people here don't like that.

I was getting my hair cut one day by some lady who ran her beauty salon out of her house and she was going on and on about how beautiful the color of my skin was, and my hair was so pretty blah blah blah. Then in the next sentence she says to me, "You know them Mexicans over in Gainesville have just taken over that entire town." I kept my mouth shut, waiting for the perfect moment to snap a comment to her.  Then she kept going on and on about "them Mexicans". I started wondering, well what in the hell does she think I am?  Finally she stopped to take a breath and ask me just where I got such beautiful coloring to my skin.  I said well, my Daddy is a full blooded Mexican and my momma is a white girl so that makes me half Mexican.  Her mouth dropped cause she realized that she had been talking so much crap.  I never went back to her again.

Thanks for your attention, and I believe that "the buck stops"  with the "Commander in Chief."   I further believe that this PC has to go out the window.  It is destroying the fabric of this Country.  We can't even discipline our children without the fear of having them taken from us.  I'm from the old school.  The people that suffer this horrific moments are the poor and their   class.  I despite the way they put us in different classes.

I'm poor in money but rich in God, these people will suggest that I am lower class.  Go figure.

you got my attention
not that i haven't read you already and have put you in my favorites.
But yes -- it's an awful state (not Missouri, although it is overrun by Republicans at the moment) -- but the entire situation.
It's hard to determine if and how this can be dealt with.
