Joe, I've always wanted to visit New Orleans. I wish I had. Watching the news I've been in tears. Its so very sad.

New Orleans was such a great city
to visit--so full of energy and light-heartedness. There's no telling how many years it will take for this city to get back to normal.

Pat, I don't think its so much the negative getting to me, but the whole emotional side of this disaster.

ginnie, I suppose instead of asking why, I should get up and do something constructive!

mcbreeze, sometimes it takes a catastrophe for people to realise that we all need to help each other.

take a walk, listen to sweet music
light a nicely scented candle, focus on a blooming flower. Do something to change your mental state for the positive. The negative stuff is getting to you. Peace...

Hi Ca88andra,
My heart feels crushed this morning. Katrina, has caused so much destruction and people just like you and I are suffering. Families with precious children. I am praying, too!

Yes, katrina has left some terrible destruction behind
made me want to cry when I saw a hapless man,who has lost his wife in the storm...and her last words were..take care of the kids...simple people with simple lives...sometimes you wonder why bad things happen to good people?

that's the problem i feel at times so many people spend to much time worrying about material things or money forgetting the priceless value of lives, and their ignorance can many times back fire when they themselves are thrown in turmoil, they are the ones then wishing for help, but would they deserve it if they can't b bothered to spare a thought or a helping hand for others. xxx

mcbreeze, it would truly be a sad world if we didn't think of each other, especially in a crisis! Thanks for reading.
