I'm still reeling from the napalm reality...

and now today, another media person killed by our troops in Iraq. Exposing the horrible truths of this war and occupation seems to be a deadly venture..

Thank you greatly for this post and link Damon. Even in this limited forum, revealing the ugly brutality and agenda behind the facade is important. I will look at the images soon.

I looked at each of those photographs. "Grotesque"...

...does not do justice to them, but that's the word that I thought of first.

On my blog, I posted two policy ideas for how to disengage from this awful situation without surrendering the most crucial effort.

If you have the time, I would welcome your thoughts on those ideas and any alternative ideas you might have.

OFFBEATS...
...no apology necessary for the use of space.

But "This war is fair and just"????????? What on EARTH gives you that idea?

A failed oil baron in the White House wants to justify the invasion and take-over of a country with the second largest oil reserves.

He makes up stories about the Iraqi link to 9/11 - this never had much credibility, considering 17 of the 19 perpetrators were Saudis, and has now been comprehensively disproved.

He makes up stories about WMD and imminent threats - always was bullshit, and now comprehensively disproved.

He breaks international law with an illegal invasion of a sovereign nation and - oh, look! - surprise surprise, fuel prices are rocketing and the oil barons are making fortunes.

All right - it COULD all be coincidence - but I doubt it.

Fair and just? Try telling that to the traumatised children, the mourning relatives.

This was is a travesty, and I hope to see George W. Bush hung by the testicles for dragging America and the west into an unwinnable conflict.

Thanks for reading!

DL

While the computer gives us news, do not believe what you see on TV and half on what you read in print.

Ask the soliders, they are the ones who know.

This war is fair and just. To not believe this would be to ignore the 9/11 reprt. It clearley shows the connection.

While I do not believe in war, I also do not believe in turning our heads while others live unser a cruel dictator. S.H. was indeed that, and depsite what other say, the 9/11 report does not lie, he was actually and planning joint ventures with Iraw.

Should we have turned the gutless wonders of France ove to Hilter? While these may not be the same war, the same principal applies. To leave now would be throw the the country back into Civial War. Why are so many people afraid to give this country a chance at democracy?

We will not leave until the constitution is radified and proven to be effective. Our troops feel that way along with their Commander and Chief. It is easy for us to Monday morning quart back, but alas, it the guys in the field who know what it going on, it is in those young men and women who I place me faith. I is in thier faith they have their loyality to thier generals and to their Commander and chielf. Like it or not, it is about freedom, and stablizing Iraq.

Sorry to go on about this DL, did not mean to use your whole comment section. Please accept my apology!
