Uglier than I would have liked to seen happen...my husbands whole attitude about everything is "What are they gonna do, send me to Iraq?"  LOL!

He dodged a bullet there.
Whew! That could have been ugly had he been on the same plane~!

Luckily, it all worked itself out and they won't be sharing a plane!  Thank goodness.

Your husband has the right idea......
just to sit in the back of the plane and sleep.   He's probably not going to worry about the lieutenant - but rather will sit back and smile thinking about getting his arms around you.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MYYYYYYYY

This is exactly why I am so glad he is not full time!!!  Because I can see doing just that!

Actually this is one of those cases where I am 100% in the right and they can't do anything to my husband for this.  My husband could actually bring more charges against this woman.  My greater concern was that his man still outranks him which means if he wanted to be a jerk he could do it to simply try and antagonize my husband.  The good news...I found out today, they have made a point of having the other.  The word that has trickled through the grapevine is simply to keep those two apart as the commander knows my husband has not taken the charges as far as he could.

This reminds me of myself
When I married my hubby back in 1986, I was a newbie to the military life. I didn't understand that the things that I did on the base reflected back on my hubby, and that he was the one that would be punished for my actions. We had just had a brand new baby, and I was driving onto the base when this irritating man cut in front of me, causing me to slam on my breaks. He could have caused a serious accident. Pissed off by his carelessness, I flipped him off. He in turn slowed down, and got behind my car with his, he then followed me straight to my hubbies hangar. To my horror, it was his command Master Chief. My hubby was court marshalled, and reprimanded for my actions. Luckily they found humor in the situation over my ignorance, and only gave him weekend duty. I learned real quick who not to give the finger to.

The way the military works is when ones spouse does something really screwed up the service member pays the price.  In this case, it is possible that the LT is going to be displined for his wifes actions as it effected one of his troops directly.  I am hoping that will be enough for him to just leave my husband be and let them all have a peaceful trip.  Given the rank, if my husband tells him to go f**k off, my husband will be in trouble regardless of who is right or wrong.

I am probably stressing too much over it but it's hard when I am the one who put this ball in motion.

LOL.  Sometimes it's so hard not to stuff our feet down our mouths, isn't it?  And sucky that we have to learn the consequences of doing so through the hard way. Best wishes--pray Idiot Woman's Husband is too preoccupied on the flight to think about the fiasco.

I do understand what your daughter is going through.  I really want to get some sleep and hopefully get that tired look off of me that has been here for almost a year....yet, I can't.  I lay down and think of about a zillion things I want to do before he gets home and then of course I start thinking about him coming home and I get so darned excited it's crazy!

Military_Wife,

I was here to visit earlier today, this post and the one about, where you would go?  I didn't leave a commit.  Anyway, thanks for stopping to see Betsy the cow.

My daughter is anxiously waiting to again see her husband.  She is thrilled and so anxious she can't sleep.  I already, told you that he is also coming home.  While he was in Iraq, it was so hard for her because she loves him so much.  I am sure you understand.  Be Happy Gal!  I am so happy your husband will be home soon.  Bless you!

From your husband's point of view,
coming home and all, this must be way down there on the list of things to worry about.

He is so happy about just coming home, I don't think my husband is all that concerned.  This is just one of those "just my luck" moments.

MW, that image is priceless...

Kinda like a dog or cat put their leg up and bites away at their back end.   Don't worry about it. Things will work out fine. Just stay away from idiot woman and co.

I swear I'm the queen of "open mouth, insert foot."  Always eating my damn words!  Hope everything works out ok and that they are indeed segregated on the plane.

Speak now and plead insanity. Just kidding, I am always putting my foot in my mouth. I got to hauling around salt and pepper. I was nibbling on toes more than ribs. I hope it is all okay! Cute, cute post anyhow.

In truth I am not sorry even in the least. Her violation of the privacy act could have resulted in a lawsuit against her if we wanted to be nasty. I simply wanted her stopped before she did anymore damage. I just hate that way things always come back at ya.

I am hoping that to be the case.  if nothing else, I am hoping he hold his rank in high enough regard to simply let it go.

If you had a legitimate complaint, then you had every right to speak out; don't be sorry for doing that!!

Military Wife
It's true, there are no politics like military politics.  I've seen them up close.  The good news about people like Idiot Woman is that they're always getting involved in these scenarios, so if you wait maybe a week, she'll be caught up in a new one and you and your husband can quietly fade into the background and become old news

While it is true that RHIP......(rank has it's privledges) there is also "conduct unbecoming an officer".......one can only hope that the officer in question respects that

Not gonna happen.  The way things are going due to my filing a complaint, this could actually cost the husband rank...yeah it was that bad.  I discovered that his wife on top of pulling some crap that seriously effected my husbands emotional well being (Luckily, my husband deals with shit well, I just tend to be over protiected) she violated the privacy act which the military takes incredibly serious and gave out info about him to people who should not have had it.

MW... You never know... they may end up commiserating with each other
over how crazy women can be?   Seriously, don't worry too much.  They're both on LEAVE... I'm sure it's not the first thing on their minds.
