Just make sure you make healthcare a priority! I don't want to see your blogs showing you have not been medicated, young man! You probably should not quit though! From a money perspective and your ability to collect the cash you have had to put into SS you should work out what is best for your future. Get legal advice from whatever government agency serves this area in CA. Check the phone book... I know there is a lot of stuff out there for disabled , and you don't even have to have that label to ask for advice for free... Seriously, don't qquit until you have a plan...even if you have to call in sick and not get paid for as long as possible...at the worst, they fire you and you collect unemployment while you determine the best course for the future. Don't be afraid to your mom or whoever for help too. It is hard to make a good decision when you are stressed in the way that you are stressing yourself over the idea of being a "quitter" and "no steady income."

Good luck!  You can email if you have questions.

Maybe you can start your own business of doing webpages, resumes, and internet research for people.

Hacker... I give you credit for quitting without a steady income to fall
back on. Wish I had advice for you.  I'll just say good luck and keep us informed!

This makes me so sad for you.  You are so damn young and you are struggling to deal with something that most can't even begin to conceive.  Writing is iffy but I would strongly suggest that you tell your story.  Most of us know little about your condition other than what we see in movies and the general assumptions made the by general population.  You have written a bit about it here and I have to admit, it has given me a clearer picture and hopefully a better understanding.

Best of luck in whatever you do, I'll be rooting for you.
