HG,

You do experiment a little.  It's amazing how a little difference in looks lifts the spirit. I've had some nice compliments this week, so I'm feeling kinda mellow right now   well, except for the old kill-joy I live with.

I'm trying Original,

only it's not easy with my reluctant hubby. I barely got in the car this evening, before he eyed me sideways and said "Everybody must be able to  tell you're wearing a wig!" with a smirk, of course.  Brows  I shut him up by asking him "How?" Of course, he had no answer.

Too funny!  I love to see the new and different looks some of the black women I work with sport each week.  Sometimes I envy that, but I'd never be so brave.  I only go so far as wearing a ponytail, a barrette or getting highlights!

Argus, good to see you.

I'm glad you're back. I know it's been more than 20 days! Would you be surprized if I told you that they still wear those white wigs? Not the lawyers, but the judges still wear them up until today.  Whatever are they thinking?

Enjoy the new "doo" and don't worry about it!

I don't know, word-- its pretty risqué it seems to me
for a woman to wear a wig to work-- especially in a former British Colony where it used to be the men who used them. Remember the old judges and barristers?

Medusa, thanks very much...

I agree it ain't easy to write about who we are and what we do.  I think if we can manage to put a fun spin on things, it's that much easier...As sillyl as it sounds, I didn't know that Cher wears wigs. I wonder where I've been?  Now Tina Turner is who I wonder about - all that big hair.. Life will sure be easier around here for the next couple of months. Well, that's if my husband doesn't put me out of the house first.

Mia, he's stuck in a time warp.
I'm sure he's admired other women's hair everyday on the street. He'd probably be surprised that they can come away in his hand.

Gyp, what's to stop you...

If you have too much hair, you can always tame it under a stocking cap.  'Course, your head may become uncomfortably warm.

Bright,

I guess there's nothing wrong to checking to ensure our hair's in the right place.

Word.smith...A fun read...Enjoyed a lot.....
I like sincere writing and boy, you come across as such. Not always easy to write about ourselves. Look at all of Cher's wigs. I'd like some of those to make my life easier.

Great Post! I have a few wigs that I wear on occasions and I feel good when I'm out in them. Like you, I find myself checking to make sure that they are in place.
