Behold:
http://www.sewardjohnson.com/ As far as defeating my addiction, I entered a program and went to a "place".
And he puzzled three hours, `till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before!
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store.
"Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"

Johnson
I could only find one small pic of his work.
That seems clever though.
It must be great to live near somewhere so full of artistic resources.
You are furtunate to have gotten sobre. It is usually much harder than that though - did you have lots of support and backup?
Is the little story called Grinch's Christmas? Something like that?

I love J.Seward Johnson's own work...
For those unfamiliar, his sculptures appear to be real, live human beings doing ordinary things. In fact, they are constantly mistaken for actual people and, even, asked for the time or for directions, etc.
Also, to answer your previous question (concerning how I overcame my addictions). The New Year's Day before last, a couple of my friends were killed in a car accident. Nothing engenders a swift move towards sobriety quite like a sudden sense of mortality.
