Challenge Thought Patterns

So how do you challenge your thought patterns?

I have been challenging mine - they are quite entrenched I find,

i like my own company

i spend all day and most early evening alone until my boyfriend comes in. i never in a day feel alone its funny i don't think i have thought that once, i'm an only child that might have something to do with it. i'm happy with myself but that might be because i'm still suffering from an eating disorder and being alone makes it easier if i want to not eat i can, if i want to binge i can and no one interfers! but thats my driving force. most of my thoughts are about how to manage my life and establish some routine and consistantsy in my food intake and exercise so i can lose weight. also the time alone calms me as it gives me a chance to just be an observer in myself and challenge some of my thought patterns i want to change. i have made my diet a friend and enemy its a big part of my interaction and entertainment and misery. kinda sad when i think about it. maybe i should get out more.

The Grounds for Sculpture...
founded by J. Seward Johnson (of "Johnson & Johnson") is, as you might have guessed, an enormous sculpture garden; displaying the work of essentially every important modern sculptor (including Johnson himself). You can find out more at:

http://www.groundsforsculpture.org

P.S. I used to have a drug problem. Thus, my mother had all my rooms' locks removed, cause she was worried I would OD in there. Not because, she cared if I died necessarily ... she just didn't want it to happen in the house. (What would her friends think?)

What he saw was a shocking surprise!
Every Who down in Who-ville, the tall and the small,
was singing! Without any presents at all!
He HADN'T stopped Christmas from coming!
IT CAME!
Somehow or other, it came just the same!

Enjoying

I am enjoying the little story at the bottom!

  • "neither do I enjoy the constant distractions at home. "  Yes I hate them.  I hate the phone.  I used to get so many visitors that it drove me insane.  But after a while I managed to set boundaries.  I think boundary setting is hard.
  • "(The locks have been removed from the doors of my rooms.)   Why?  Seems scary?
  • " I prefer to take my laptop to the beach"   sounds like heaven
  • "the arboreatum" love it
  • "or the Grounds for Sculpture. "  This sounds interesting what is that?
  • "I settle for spending the day in the garden or by the pool (so at least I'm outside). "  yes that sounds great especially with the lap top.
I guess I can't go too far from the house as I need the scanner and the photoshop software.  However in the end I stopped living with others and settled to live alone.  I protect myself  by getting out though.  I am surprised about how much I need to interact with others,

I don't like being alone ...
but, neither do I enjoy the constant distractions at home. (The locks have been removed from the doors of my rooms.)

Therefore, I prefer to take my laptop to the beach or the arboreatum or the Grounds for Sculpture. Failing that, I settle for spending the day in the garden or by the pool (so at least I'm outside).

And he did hear a sound rising over the snow.
It started in low. Then it started to grow...
but the sound wasn't sad!
Why, this sound sounded merry!
It couldn't be so!
But it WAS merry! VERY!
