Yeah, as "dangerous" jobs go ...
zookeeper is actually relatively safe. Provided you know what you're doing.
Shout out to Miss Manotti (head reptile keeper at the PZ)!

The stats come from the national death registry...
which is in the government records/public archives department of the central library (where a certain ghastly witch holds a key position and, thus, so graciously allows her daughter access).
However, the specific wording is (of course) pure "me".

Yikes!
My daughter wants to be a zookeeper. Wait a minute, more businessmen/women died than them. Hell, she's pretty safe. Business is a dangerous business indeed (boring too).

Wow! Interesting death stats and discussion! Where on earth would you find stats for this? Unbelievable and thanks for sharing! Sandi

It's a dangerous job.
When I took dance as a child, my instructor told us a story of a friend who suffered a similar fate. I should note that stat was
worldwide though (not just in the states).

The ballet instructors number seems high. Sadly I could believe all of the others easily enough!

My own feeling, strat...
is that when it's your "time to go" ... there'll be no avoiding it.
Just like in that one episode of "The Twilight Zone". (Well, actually, about
9 of them had that same plot.)
Therefore, I'd honestly
prefer dying in a way that would fit nicely into one of these posts (if, of course, I had been alive to write it).

Things like this are another reason
why I find it hard to quit smoking.
I'm terrified that if I finally quit, I'll be jogging down the street and either trip and choke to death on a celery stalk or I'll get run over by a tobacco truck.

Oh, also, I have the coolest story to post...
(concerning my own
actual Bigfoot sighting!). I'm just waiting for the photos to be scanned.

I knew that one the moment I laid eyes on it, too! (When I checked in yesterday ... it was still the previous puzzle.)

Oh, and, the double post was, like, the "icing on the cake"!
P.S. I saw that you called me a witch, too.

Thank you, BrightIrish.
I'll remind people that most "Death Blog" posts look much like this one. I mix in the ever-popular "departures" to keep things fresh. Primarily, to prevent the numbers from all "blurring" together.
