So they do it fairly often, huh? I had no idea....really freaked me out.....I mean, I'd just never seen a whole scene completely lifted out of one movie and re-used in another one like that! Thanks for reading.

I just said to Vane, I really think they think we don't notice...I mean, I think they buy the junk the researchers tell them about the average intelligence or something....of course, maybe it's true....nah.....I mean,
we're watchin', right?...
I really don't get it unless they do think we're stupid, though. Thanks for reading.

Yeah, I've seen that, too....like, we are sooooo stupid! I'll go along with a certain amount of budgetary moves but, really.....

I'm right in there with ya on the geek squad!! Battlestar Galactica is one of my favorites....Friday nights find me glued to SciFi starting at 6pm and I don't get up until 10pm....I have pictures of Jack O'Neill all over...I am a certified scifi nut!! I'm with you on the movies, though...I think you're right about them blowing their budget on the series....and, I mean, I love bad movies....but they have to be good bad...know what I mean?

Hey, wait a minute. Didn't we just see this?
I haven't noticed recycling footage from another movie, but I have noticed a lot of reusing the same footage in different spots in a movie, even a few seconds or a few minutes apart. I often wonder if the moviemakers are simply saving time, energy and money, or if they think we viewers are simple, on top of it???

this cracked me up
probably because I was considering watching "Epicenter" after seeing it previewed during another really awful sci-fi channel movie that I watched the other night. "Alien Train" did you catch it? The sad thing is, I watched the whole damn thing, laughing about how they were using the same clip (a view from the helicopter) over and over again. What the hell happened to the sci-fi channel anyway? I know they have a budget, but the movies are awful!! Must be spending it on "Battlestar Gallactica".. uh-oh, are my geek colors showing?

This wasn't even copying....this was the exact same footage! The same movie makers must have made the movie...or else they sold it to them...like a secondary market or something...that's what got me....I mean, talk about getting your monies' worth!

I pride myself in being able to watch the worst movies and find pleasure in their sheer awfulness....I mean I love those awful kung fu movies where the mouths don't match the dialogue....but this stopped me in my tracks.

I have seen many movies that do this
Its like they run out of creativity, so they look to the money makers for inspiration. I mean how many princess movies can they make in one year? I believe that Scream copied a scene from the Blair Witch Project. How about all of the volcano & earthquake movies? There are a couple that did the asteroid thing, and the ice age thing. They need some new material, that is for sure.
