JJ...
...if you read my post again, you'll find nothing in there that suggests a deep, scientific understanding of the subject. In fact, you'll find most of it is speculation or question.

And that's what I do when a question pops into my head. It's how I satisfy my curiosity. It's how I learn and grow and evolve myself.

So I'm afraid I won't be taken your well-meant advice. As a vibrant, sentient being on this lovely planet, I will continue to exercise my right to be curious about anything I like, to ask questions, and to learn.

Thanks for reading.

...well, according to our current definitions, water is not living. But are we right? We used to believe the planet is not a living entity, but there are some serious scientific challenges to that view now. We may be wrong about water, too.

I'll post a bike pic as soon as I'm a bit more practiced with the new Blogit toolbar, currently in beta.

Thanks for reading!

...yes, I've been off fish for a while, too. The seas are used as a huge dumping ground, and I don't want to eat what comes out of there, thank you very much!

Thanks for popping in!

DL,
Please don't do any posts on evolution.  You need a lot more background in the sciences before you step into that subject area.  I'm sure any post on evolution would gather a great audience to offer philosophies on the unknown and misunderstood, but the emperor would be wearing no clothes.  JJ

Happy Birthday!

You're showing your optimism (about your own life) that you apply more broadly in the Shanti blog.

Nice work.

You do think some weird and wonderful thoughts!

Hmm..

Interesting thoughts, though I wouldn't know how or where to get a clue. ;) Perhaps it is the same stuff, there are waterfalls and streams in the mountains where the water still looks clear and pure, as I imagine it has for a long time. But I don't know that for sure.

I do know the content has changed drastically and only for the worse unfortunately. I won't eat fish of any kind anymore; mercury is bad stuff.

Good post Damon.

it's elementary
I think water is an elemental thing, maybe it is composed of hydrogen and oxygen which are component elements, but I don't think it could evolve. It's the basis for other evolution, a container for everything else, and at the same time contained by everything that lives. Fire, on the other hand, probably does evolve, as its source can be any one of a number of combustibles. Fire's probably not an element -- it's the action of transforming elements, sending solid wood aloft as microscopic particles and smoke.

MsVision...
...alas, I can't really take the credit for the title.

It's a line from a song - actually, a couple of tracks, I think - by the KLF. Good, isn't it?

There are calm bikers around. We're not all wired speed-fiends, y'know - though I do have my moments!

Thanks for reading.

I really like the title of your blog. You seem very calm for someone with a motor bike.
