You know,

I was crying myself to sleep every night at the thought of the poor doggies. But now I can rest easy.

Hey, here's an idea - why don't they mince up hobos and make them into dog food? Clean up the streets AND feed the needy. Genius.

the only reson i think people prefer 2 help animals instead of humans is because they tend to act with far more respect and loyalty than some humans, and i guess there are the odd few humans who get lucky whY!! because theyu r usually the lads in ibiza that are acting like animals. lol

And just imagine..
Animals can at least begin to provide for themselves and survive out there. Humans on the street simply get sick and's very sad....alexa

My problem is, I subscribe to the theory that
The more I know of people, the more I like my dog.

But animals have their dregs, too. You have ass biters, carpet pissers, incessant barkers, fright biters, howlers, sofa chewers, shoe crappers, and Carolina Leg Hounds. Sadly, they, too are the bottom of their society, as it were, but unlike the homeless, they usually get a date with a needle and a one way trip to the landfill instead of a bowl of soup or five bucks for a short dog of muscatel.

Mind you, I'm not judging.

Yup, animals are innocent and depend on people for survival. Human beings, once they depart from the nest are expected to fend for themselves, and if they can't make it in the "real world" society sees them as burdens.  They become the "trash of society" and people don't like their trash, they take it to the curb for someone else to deal with, likewise the homeless are always someone else's problem, but that just leds me to one question, "Who's problem are they???" Great post!

Living in China for the really drives it in that some people are dirt poor. But what can you do? Donating to charities, you don't know how much of it is actually used on the people themselves...if you give to the beggar on the street who doesn't have any don't know if he was mutilated by the "beggar rings" who take healthy people and chop them up and force them to beg in a strange's enough to drive one mad. But yeah...still would rather donate to whoever than for animals. Not that I don't love them, but humans have so much more potential. Perhaps, if you save someone on the street, they'll stand up and take in a stray later on...or maybe I'm just being overly optimistic.

I'm not going to apologise that I care for humans more than animals. I'd never harm an animal, but I'd rather help a fellow human, even if they don't thank me.
