The #number on the profile indicates the popularity rank of a blog (#1 being most read)

How to delete a post

To delete a post, click "Write" (in the top-right corner of the page), then click "Edit" next to the name of your blog. Scroll down to the post you want to delete, and click "Delete" immediately under the post.
