Great passage to share! As Kingmi said so eloquently, emptying is Eastern philosophy, filling is Western philosophy.

Q-A, that is precisely the point. To intend to re-fill with more positives -- even if it is inadvertant and you just have to empty it again.  Filling is so natural, I think that is whytheEastern meditations focus on emptying it.
