the perfect job
involves six months vacation with pay, twice a year. That's the smart-aleck thought I'd suppress when an interviewer would ask me to define the perfect job. Instead I'd give stock answers: I like a challenge, the opportunity for advancement, the opportunity to work with a team to accomplish goals. I didn't say that my first choice is to be given an assignment with a good explanation of the result they want, and then have them get out of my face and let me get to it. Of course, now that I'm retired, I actually get six months' vacation twice a year, time to write and blog, or even take a nap...:)
