Besides, you still gained more from getting your own, because even if I had given you all I had at that point, you would not have gotten many. I had just been plundered by two kids.

I was not stopping him from having any cookies. I had jsut sat down and given half my cookies away at that point. Beisdes it did him good to get up and move around a bit. He gained more by getting his won, since he would not have gotten as many if I gave him some of mine.

Sorry old man, but I only had so many cookies. Besides, I thought you were an adult and could get your own. If you took from me you would have only gotten one, as the kids did. Instead you got a few, I think I saw four of various kinds, so you made off much better by getting them yourself.
