Pray inform me, how does one perform this action that you propose? It sounds like an excellent notion, and one shall set one's staff to work upon it, immediately on receiving aforesaid instructions.

You are most kind, sir ; a true scion of the Yorkist nobility! One eschews the vulgar LOL, but nevertheless one's lips are set in a smile.

Also, why don't you stick a link for the holiday house in your side bar? It looks like a lovely place and it'd be nice to be able to link to it easily.

So long as you've got a few tasty Spanish beers at the ready! And you'd better do a creepie-crawlie check otherwise my wife'll have to bring her suit of armour.

Thank you for your kind comment. One is so glad that you enjoyed your visit to Mon Blogue ; and you are clearly a person of considerable refinement, if one might say so. Not like some of the appalling toerags that one sees!

Diana and I feel very strongly that it's insulting and patronising to the Spanish not to try to learn at least a little of their language ; and one gets so much in return. Only trouble is, around here they don't speak Spanish, but Andaluz, which is a sort of mongrel lingo that takes some getting used to. Hey! That might be subject for a post, some time in future. See what I mean about ideas coming from anywhere?

On the subject of creepie crawlies, I've just had a five inch long centipede, millipede, or whatever it was, run across my bare foot! Scary!

It would be nice to met you, and your wife? if you did decide to stay at our house. Los Marines is real Spain!

hasta luego

The Chateau de Mon Blogue is certainly a place of refinery, one finds. Not oil refinery, obviously.

Suggestion for human cannonball: Gordon Strachan - I keep hearing calls for him to be fired.

Seems like you're one extranjero who's actually slotting in, instead of trying to create  a Costa Del Boy.

Loved the Plantagenet note. Didn't know that before. My wife and I are decidedly Yorkist in our medieval political alliances.

Enjoyed the sojourn into your Spanish lifestyle and as you say in the notes, plenty of food for thought for other bloggers here.

Also loved the bit about the nature of the mundane and the importance of flexing our writers' eyes.

Will visit rentalspain.com and stick it on favourites. We generally go to France, but it's only another hop, isn't it.

Regards to Diana and watch out for those praying mantises.
