You sound like a fascinating person.............with a extremely developed inner calmness. I wish I could sit next to you and listen to the crickets.
I'll have to settle for my backyard. Floating in the pool this morning (sans clothing), listening to that same sound of crickets, birds singing (cardinals my favorite), wind chimes gently tinkling and the soft "thump, thump" of pears falling off a tree on to our shed. Heaven on Earth.

Ariel70...While noisy defiant groups capture headlines, old Civil War rivalry is no longer a major issue in the U.S.

Please, please, read my story " The Party" on my blog. I'll buy you a large vino of your choice. And I'll even dance the flamenco with you. With a rose in my teeth.

Thank you for your compliment. I live in the campo, about four miles from the nearest town ; no neighbours except a goat farmer about 400 yards away. His goats graze our land. It's great!

Just as there are many lessons to be learned from attending a local running of the bulls as I did in the small village of El Puig. Spain is a fascinating place, providing you are able to escape the 'UK on the beach' parts. It is good to find another fascinating character on Bloggit.
