I feel for you. I suppose the most important thing you have to ask yourself is 'where to from here'?

A lot of money for talking, listening. Writing works sometimes too.

word.smith thanks for reading! When it all comes down to it we have to accept and solve our own problems.

Welcome back.

It's terrible when you have to shell out that kind of money and you're not satisfied with what you're getting.

MayB the therapist is kind of a sleepy dark version of Santa Clause he's not so bad as my ex that he was labelling the disorder upon. The problem being, now I have looked up the label which seems to fit my ex to every detail there is little I can do in negotiating for our children whom he visits. Everything I read says get the kids into therapy too- Lord save me sometimes. I surely picked a winning horse. not.

Madame P O  yes it's not my usual perky self. Went to the therapist today and usually he never says a thing - and often his eyes are closed and I swear he's ready to snore too... I was talking about my exhusband and mid sentence he tells me that my ex has NPD ( Narcissictic Personality Disorder) which I never had a label name for it but seemingly there is no cure and no fix to deal with.

I'll work on snapping my heels and getting more upbeat soon! or was that kicking myself in the butt and putting on a happy face?

I like the way you wrote this. That's what I hate about therapists --the lack of empathy

Are you referring to a therapist?
Cause, mine doesn't really do anything either. (In fact, I'm almost certain he's fallen asleep a few times.)

Anyways, interesting post! Not real upbeat, though.
