Thermarest floor? So make one!

Mummies suck but they do scrunch small, keep you warm and dry out ok. Damn expensive though.

Try this or the equivalent: military poncho (has grometted eyelets) or groundcover, and poncho liner (slippery nylon comforter the same size as the poncho, but has ties to secure it into the poncho and the edges of the ponch together). Not as advantageous as a real bag, but packs small, can act as rain protection or shelter (DO NOT cut a head hole in the poncho liner to wear it under the poncho...well, ok, it's YOUR liner),and the liner just feels good and quickly traps your body heat. Tankers use this trick to good advantage.

HINT: Don't buy a used poncho unless it is from a friend, it smells ok (they were used as body bags sometimes) and there are no pinholes, or very few, and the waterproofing has to be free of peeling.

Don't yet own a 'thermarest mattress pad' but think I'll get one.......Thanks for the tip!

Oh! I love Wally World's  folding chairs, too! They really are GREAT

I've never slept in a 'mummy bag' but often thought of buying one ..... Cheers, Andy *-)
