Sometimes lashing out with focus and purpose is just what others need to get themselves together and do better. Emotionally, I slide off the deep end sometimes and just lose interest in everything. My wife has to kick me in the ass--metaphorically, of course--and while I don't always want to admit it, I do find myself on a more productive course afterward. I think a synthesis of the major and most compelling experiences around your struggle coping with the challenges of Zarrah's condition, could make a great and publishable article for a national health or familly magazine.
