Straightforward

I have to disagree, the family unit is a dictatorship. Kids do truly ignorant things if left to themselves. There must be rules of the house, and a consiquence for breaking those rules. There is no democracy in that, no what do you think. In the home is where children learn about law, the parents law, and what happens if they break the law. If they don't learn it there, then they learn it on the street, in a much harsher environment to disobay the law. True democracy is chaos, and that's why we live in a democratic republic. When a child is old enough, there may be negotiation, but still, there is the law, the parents law that ends the debate.
