I have kids myself and I hope to raise them in the real world with a very good grasp of who they are and just what is happening around them. I hope I raise them to make the right choices and I know I will stand behind them no matter what lifestyle they choose, even if it is.. Of it scares me to think about it... What if they become Christian Conservatives... Of the horror. It would sicken me to no end, but I would still love them and stand by them even if they were to fall towards such evil ways.
Obviously you did not at all understand what I was trying to say. The links you are trying to make between very unrelated sexual ideas make just as much sense as trying to say it is heterosexual activity that is leading people to those lifestyles. You can not group all sexual situations together and not include heterosexual sex. Unless of course you are living is a dream land. Sorry, but homosexuality is not at all related to bestiality, incest, pedifillia or any of the other sexual ideas. And they are not at all linked to each other either. If a person practices one of them, it is not going to encourage them to practice another. Acceptance of one does not mean acceptance of any of the others.

KOOKA... YOUR ANSWER TO ME WAS REALLY KOOKY!

STOP HAVING SEX ALTOGETHER... absolutely not.

BUT .. how about only having sex in a committed relationship???  The best committment I know can imagine would be Marriage.. A marriage where a man and woman swear before their friends and God that they will love and support each other forever.

Any other kind of union makes such a committment impossible.  How do three people pledge to love and support each other only with an except clause.

How do a same sex couple procreate naturally without going outside of their vows to each other?

Maybe I live in a fairy tale world... but it is the only world I want to raise my kids in.

PS.  I saw nothing wrong with most of these 'acts' until I had kids... then I opened my eyes.

mightyholywarrior -- this is the most unbelievable post you have ever
written. As you are probably aware, a few days ago the supreme court of Canada ratified same sex marriage. It is now law in our country and I have never been prouder to be a Canadian. Can a person that has written a posting such as this possibly comprehend what would make a heterosexual proud of this development? Simply we are a better nation because of it, our society has become more just as it met this marginal challenge. We were asked to consider the plight of a small minority of our citizens and overcome our inherent prejudices towards them as we forced ourselves to re-define the longstanding traditions of marriage.  It was not easy, many of the baseless slippery slope arguments that you use in this posting were at the forefront of public discussion for far too long. In the end however decency prevailed, yeah that's right, decency. Decency and compassion are the premises that allow all members of a just society to seek their own form of self fullfillment  Living in a country that is capable of extending these rights to everyone, regardless of how small a voice they have in society is something to be proud of. Talk of polygamy, beastiality, incest etc. which all happen to be illegal activities, belittles the efforts of legally consenting adults seeking their own form of happiness while building a life together.  Canada is the 4th country in the world to allow full same sex marriage. We expect that developments within our country as a direct result from this decision will be much like the experiences of the other 3 preceding countries. In other words nothing changes, life goes on, everything you describe as possible scenarios in this posting never materialize. If you had done a  little research on the subject, you would have realized that everything you have said in this posting is groundless.

I never suggested that incest is less deviant than necrophilia. Not sure where you got that one from. They are very different though and should not be group together as the same kind of sexual issue, just as homosexuality is nothing at all like either of them. There is no relation at all between them. One does not lead to another.

By your logic we should just stop having sex altogether. Because heterosexual sex is obviously what lead to homosexual sex and since that according to you logic leads to all other forms of sex (Even though there is no relation between them at all) we should step back to what started it all and stop sex from happening completely. That really is the only true solution to it.

And personally I would not wish to go back to the days where the majority of the population lived in ignorance. From what I have gathered that was not that good of times. A great amount of incest and other such acts took place, but no one talked about it. From what I am gathering being more open about such things has gone and made the incidents become less frequent because people talk about it now and confront it, instead of hiding behind the fake idea of 'all if nice in the world'. The world you grew up in was mostly a lie and now we are being more honest and open and that seems to be very troubling for some.

I guess you would much rather live a lie.

Oh, and what is wrong with polygamy? You said you saw everything wrong with it, but gave no examples.

sorry kooka...

I see everything wrong with polygamy... and how can you suggest that incest is less deviant than necrophilia..?  Every time a new deviant (yeah I know.. but what is deviant) behaivor is introduced, it cracks open the door for the next.

Look at TV over the last 30 years.  When I was a kid, they barely said "shucks"... now they say and do everything under the sun.  Each little transgression leads to the next little transgression and before you  know it, little Penny from Good Times is baring her peirced nippled breast on National Television.

I actually see nothing wrong with poloigmy. If the people can handle it and they are all in agreement, then what's wrong with it? It should not be forced on anyone, but if it is consenting adults then there is no logical reason as to why it should be illegal. I know many people who have had multiple marriages, why not just allow them all at once? In some cases such openness might be healthy for the marriage.

Still as clueless as ever I see
Why are so many people so scared of homosexuals?
Most everything you say in this post makes no sense at all. There is no connection. Sorry, but bestiality is way, way different than homosexuality as is incest. Lumping everything sexual together makes no sense at all. By there very same logic heterosexuality leads to necrophilia. They are both sexual in nature after all. Going off of what you are using for logic here, we need to get rid of sex all together in order to fix the problems. Males and females, just need to stop doing it and kids will from now on be test tube babies.
Sorry, btu I enjoy sex with my wife and am not going to stop because the logic (ANd I use that term very, very loosely in this comment) connects all sexual activity.
You see, homosexuality is between two consenting grown adult people. Right there is the basic truth of it all and that basic reason as to why there is nothing at all wrong with them forming up as a couple and being given the same rights as a heterosexual couple. But you are a conservative and the ideas of rights and freedom are alien to you.
Get over your fear of homosexuals. That is the bottom line to it.

MMMM-HHHHMMMM

That's exactly where we are going... but beastiality is not the next extreme.  Once same sex marriages are legal, polygamy is sure to be next!... If fact, it is already in the works as the next right to be fought for.

Heck!  if a man can marry another man.. then can someone explain why he can't marry two women?
