Passion, this is getting to be too funny to yell...I am laughing..crying...

I want you to print this out and paste it somewhere...whatamIgonnadowithya!!!!...this is not South Texas, it is Central Texas, the Hill Country...you are from Texas...you should at least know that.  I am here because I am trying to return full time to Texas...I now live here more than I don't...I have a house here....it is a small lake house....my husband doesn't want to move here and I don't want him to....my mother lives 23 miles away in Llano....I am very close to making this my legal residence...it would probably be easier if you just thought of it as being where I live all the time and then when I go back to KC I'll just tell you I'm visiting there.

Yes, my new granddaughter will be born on 9/26..I will add Cohilla to the list...thank you.  Keep coming up the suggestions and I will forward them on....I do not want the name to be Mud as my daughter is threatening.

I love you...I am not yelling...but please understand...this is not South Texas....I live in Texas...I am not just visiting.

Hello? I've stopped by to say that lots of people have allowed me
To name their babies. And I know your daughter is struggling with a name for her baby. Do we know if it's a girl or a boy yet? Is that why you're in South TX? To be there for your daughter? Is this stuff I'm supposed to know? Are you going to yell at me some more???

Okay, so here's the name:::: Cohilla pronounced "Co-He-La".

I think it's just because they can....just because it's there....and again, trying to flesh out their fantasies.

krisles... I know they're visual beings... but still,
it just seems like a big tease to me.  What's the point.  (I know what the point is... but you know what I mean).

Thank you, Sweet Pea....I know you could put those words together and read my story...probably put a few chords to them...

Thanks for reading! I'll tell you something I know to be true about why a lot of men go into strip clubs...they are trying to flesh out their fantasies...and they get to do it in those places. They are visual beings...made that way because of the "biological imperitive".  And, for the most part, we women count on that which is why we spend our reproductive years doing things to attract them visually initially, even if we do it unconsciously...and that is a very deep discussion....

Kris,
Your power of suggestion is pretty strong. Too much more and I'm gonna get the vapors!

Good work, as always!

krisles...
That's a great lesson there.  I've never understood strip clubs, but then again, I don't understand most men either.

I was never mad at you...MayB basically said what my attitude was...I was just also giving you a little stuff because you once said you pretty much read all my stuff, but I didn't think you did because I haven't really always had that many comments from you so if you read even most my stuff that meant you were reading and not commenting soooooo....anyway, I don't care if people read and don't comment because like MayB said..and I agree with her and we could go 'round and 'round but...let's not...

yes...true...I've written several poems and posts about the power of wielding "word swords." They can smite you quicker than the sharpest blade.

I hope I ever graduate to writing poetry....words are so incredibly powerful...their power to hurt or heal never ceases to amaze me. I always think of the not so brawny guy who weilds so much power in the gang with his ability to manipulate the rest with his words...

around, they might want to eat you right up.

OMG! I rolled the car window closed on Bliss and worried that I did something like that to her!! She left me with my paw ripped open, a gash down my back and on my scalp..blood all over the inside of the car....but she seems fine and that is the way I prefer it.  I'm so sorry but glad it wasn't worse for your baby.

Thank you! Now we have the granddaughters to teach...and society sure works against the lessons.  I was just commenting to Vane that the gals who do keep the mystery have even more of an edge because of it, though! Thanks for reading.

can heal. Thank you so much for asking.

I'd love to read you story! If you don't see me there, yell at me because I am notorious with my ADD so it will be purely accidental if I miss it and I'd hate to! I'll be curious to see if your story is very different than mine...how your brain filled in the blanks.  As for the halter tops, it's a real uphill battle to convince daughters these days with the magazine ads and all...and I think the gals that keep the mystery have even more of an upper hand because of it.

It is very interesting how "mere" words have sounds and sensations associated with them...and it's particularly important in poetry.

I'm confused...that's exactly what the point of the story about the woman in the suit was about...but it had to be in the form of a story for my daughter to listen - just telling her about allure and mystery without a specific example wouldn't have gotten it across...so where did I miss with you?!

posted by Krisles on July 24, 2005 at 6:33 PM | link to this | reply

Kris
Most learn by example,  I am sure they will do just fine with the examples they have.

My mother taught this lesson to me early in life and I found it to be true...never wore revealing clothing...still don't. You and I are both analytical....with our lists!!

This is so good.  What an invaluable lesson to pass on to your daughter.  There are few things more powerful than mystery... and nothing more sexy than wonder...

I loved the analogy too. It would've been good if I had heard that story when I was a teenager. It may have prevented me from sneaking out of the house in little halter tops. Also I think I'm going to write a story with those words. COme visit later, and see it

How about allure? We like a little something left to the imagination, a bit of mystery, a brain tease if you will.  Sure a naked woman looks nice, but an attractive woman with clothes still on? Nicer still.
