Yeah... I learned not to look in Kiddo's garage, not to play Hacker's music requests... and that the little shock face emoticon is really looking for dick??   ROFL... That's so bad.... LOL

Nooo no no no. You keep your gender benders to yourself =P. Or better yet, just release them into the wild. Imagine the hilarity that would follow behind them and their duel-sexual-organ-having selves. Good times, good times.

Ok...see, I already have them at my house. I'll be happy to send them
your way...if you like.  Warning , most of them are men, but they are dressed like women.  Is that ok?

CHELLY!!??!? I thought you were like gone or something. You changed your name and I failed to see! Gah. I had wondered where you hand moseyed off to. Not too far, it would seem =P

Good call on the CD always playing. I hate the silence and must have something playing at all times. Ahh, makes life better =)

I know what you mean. At a Slipknot concert I was about 5 rows of people back from the front (standing, not sitting). When the music started, damn. I've never been so squished in my entire life. The guy (Slipknot has 9 members) came out in their usual grotesque masks and started playing, however the lighting was only strobe lights at first. Not just any strobe lights. Black light strobes. I have never experienced anything closer to a nightmare in my life. It was AWESOME!!!! Ahh, good times =)

I'm not happy without it. The more anger, more blood, more screaming
in rage the better.  It's the only way to make someone smile sometimes.  In my case, it is necessary all day everyday.  I keep a cd on in my bedroom.

lol.... it is not cheap and dirty, just mature.... get me near the front of a show (well, a REAL show, not barry manilow) and my maturity vanishes without a trace. :)

Somehow that seems right =P I can imagine you romping around into people and what not. So that's THREE girls who are mosh pit veterans, while I still remain the conscientious objector.

Bother is a pretty good song indeed. Circle by Slipknot has that same feel to it. Imagine that, the screamer can sing!.

I just made a typo, but it took my about 5 seconds to figure out if it was typo. The period, after the exclamation point there. I put it in, looked at, thought, "Yeah that's right......................................................................................................wait".

Oh I forgot...

Used to LOVE mosh pits.  Excellent stuff man.  Broke my nose in one even..... :)

oops... mosh pit... not most pit....

posted by -blackcat on July 18, 2005 at 3:19 PM | link to this | reply

Hacker... LOL.. I'm sure my most pit was tamer than the "angry metal one"

that you're talking about!  Anything that rocked had the potential to turn into a mosh pit in my college clubs.  But I still definitely wouldn't go in with sandals or anything!

I listened to "sic" and the ones you listed from Static-x.  LOL... Not my thing there!  That song "Bother" sounds pretty good.  They actually CAN sing huh?  It sounds sooo familiar (like a popular group) but I can't place it.

Blackcat!

Damn, don’t I feel like a sissy =P Two girls here have been in a mosh pit, yet I refuse to =P Oh well. I suppose you’re right, the pit of moshing isn’t for everyone. But hey, neither is hockey. And about your shoes, the people I’ve known that do the pit thing on a regular basis require that steel-toe boots always be worn =P

You looked a couple of them up eh =P Which ones?! See, now I have to know which songs made you say, “now that’s angry music”. And yeah, Eeyore was an interesting choice of a name for a song =P. But hey, now that you’ve heard those songs, listen to “Circle” by Slipknot and be completely blown away. Also, the song “Bother” by Stone Sour. It’s the same lead singer as Slipknot. It will totally blow you away, I promise!

Hacker.... two things...

The last time I was in a mosh pit was at least 10 years ago.... I wouldn't ever recommend being in one unless you've had alot of alcohol.  I was in one once when I was almost sober and it scared the crap out of me.  Too drunk and you could get killed.  Somewhere in the middle, it can be fun but I always had to watch out because I'm short.  I could easily get an elbow to the head and be knocked out!   Plus (and this is such a girl thing to say) but it ruins your shoes!

Second... I searched a couple of your choices on iTunes.  LOL... now that's angry music.  Too much for me.  I'll stick with normal hard rock played really loud.  But I had to comment that I found it really funny that Slipknot has a song called "Eeyore."

Excellent choices! I forgot to mention Linkin Park. They get a lot of crap for being too mainstream, whatever that means, but they're good angry music nonetheless =)

Not that you read me, ahem...
But you should check out my post that's up right now in Flipping the Gidget.....I even used Manson for my quote. :)

I like:

Disturbed, Metallica, Linkin Park, Guns'n'roses (appetite for destruction), AC/DC and Saliva. Those are my anger management courses!

Sometimes hitting things does feel good, I admit. But do what I did, buy a punching bag. Spare the walls and glass; the punching bag don't care how hard you hit it =). And as for you music of choice, all I have to say is, "Raise your hands, you're a sinner!"

Woooo! Another angry rocker. Braver than I, though, as I will not venture forth into the depths of the mosh pit. I don't mind standing on the edge and boincing people around, but that feels cheap and dirty =P

posted by Unidentified_Hacker on July 18, 2005 at 1:42 PM | link to this | reply

I have punched things in anger....it's fun....it also hurts...
My knuckles are still bloody.  I don't do it now usually, but recent events and all.  Breaking shit is great, but I tend to break shit I don't care about.  Once upon a time in my mispent youth I hit everything (my favorite was glass) and broke whatever.  I'm with you on music.  Some of my favs are Manson, Pantera, Rage Against the Machine, old Metallica, and I love the list you mentioned, too...I like Drowing Pool, too, but I like the singer that passed away the best.  When I'm too angry I can't listen to it because it will feed it.

i LOVE Angry music, but not all the time.... when i am in that mood though, i love to blast it and jump around in manner of mosh pit. (which i have been in.... but it was quite a long time ago...... so it doesn't really count. :) ) great post!
