I think everyone has multiple personalities
I'm a different person whether i'm with my girtlfriend alone, in work, at the pub with the lads, or playing sport. I also think i am a different person when i'm enjoying different pursuits such as reading or mountain walking. My emotions and agression occasionally make me think where did that come from, and the idea that each part could be or could act independently scares the shit out of me if i think too long.

I often have to do something to keep my right brain occupied, "playing" - have music playing, lots of pictures around for it to be distracted with, etc. - to have any hope of focusing my left brain on work that has to be done. I learned this trick in a lecture on left and right brain functioning. I also had my brain "mapped"..it was very interesting. All the participants walked around with little diagrams pinned on showing our individual results so we could talk to each other and exchange experiences. Also, I assume you've seen the research about how women more easily move back and forth between their left and right...which is supposedly the reason we are better at "intuitive" thinking. Good post.
