Damon ~ Yes, we have a pretty effective treatment program.
It's quite extensive and rather complex, but the jist of it is we take all your money over a very long period of time.

Mark...
...well, I'm not far from Scotland here, where they say "Look after the pennies, and the pounds will look after themselves."
But yes, maybe I am tight, too! Do you know of any cures at your Institute?
Cheers!

Feb 04...
...was that when you were getting exasperated with me for not getting your name right? I remember, and I'm honoured.
Yes, I'd like to know the answer to that one, too. The Office of Fair Trading here is the first stop for that type of question and, when I can find the time, I will be taking the matter up with them.
Thanks for reading!

Hey Damon!
I'd be interested to find out how "they" get away with keeping your change just because they can!
And just for a bit of trivia - I've been doing a walk through a blogging memory lane and thought I'd let you know you were on my first reading distribution list back in Feb 2004!

Hear hear! It seems governments and councils everywhere are all trying to get more money out of everyone.

Too true
I've just blogged my experience the other day with a wheel clamper in "Things i think i see". An area where i'd parked before i had to pay £80 to some criminal masquerading as a legitimate company. Bastards. You're right as well anyone who proposes regulation to protect the citizen is accused of attacking the freedom of business. But they are allowed to get away with whatever they want.
