I am definitely a pacifist and hate the thought of what humans do to each other, however I doubt there is any sort of peaceful way to end terror or stop terrorists.

Straightforward
Well, I would like to think there are more peaceful ways but in order to arrive at more peaceful ways I think we are going to have to accept different cultures and stop trying to make them over into one culture. By that I mean different politics as well.

imaginary friends
I read a quote somewhere (apologies to the author) that a "holy" war is an extreme difference of opinion about whose imaginary friend (god) is better. As long as there are conservative hard-liners who can't accept the other side's right to their own perspective, there will be wars of oppression by the powerful and terrorist responses from the weaker group. The war on terror is a bit like the war on drugs -- somebody's making a profit and paying off the powers that be, and no matter what the leaders tell the media, it will go on until there's no profit in it..

A war on Terror is
Simply this. A war which has no boundries. The world is for the taking. I'll even let you in on a little secret there are good guys and bad guys. The war on terror has been a great way for us to go anywhere it has been a conveinence to go. It has allowed us to wage war across the board. If we go to them they will come to us, that is how it works. The means of travel in this day and age allow it. So The war on terror is this a world war and it may be comming to a door step near you. Unless you choose to fight fire with fire, they seek to terrorize so simply stand your ground when they attack. Show them you not affraid and they will tuck their tail and run. I give London props on this.
