An Empty...
...Washington?

Actually, though a neutron bomb may be a bit extreme, it could be one solution...hmmm.

Georgie
kingmi, I firmly believe that Bush is the manifestation of the continuing dumbing down of America.

No my friend, you are accurate in what you say. I know very few people who even listen to mainstream media. They're credibilty went out the door a few years back. Dan, I would Rather not was the icing on the cake. There will be nothing done to C.R. If you want the news, I highly recommend you read it!

How can you accuse the press of being left-leaning?
I mean the President freaking LIED to the country about WMD and hardly a peep from the Fourth Estate. Rove outed a CIA agent by leaking her name to the press, who were more than happy to do their part to get back at a political opponent of the president. Iraq has been called Judy Miller's war because she fed the party line day after day on Iraq. Where is this left-leaning press you speak about??

Me Too! And...
...it may come as something of a surprise (as the US media ignored it) but a recent Zogby poll showed 42% of Americans are willing to consider the possible impeachment of Bush for lying about going to war with Iraq.

I believe that's more than voted for him!

And if that is truly your impression of UK media, kingmi, then you've clearly been reading The Weekly News (like the National Enquirer) and nothing else.

To say the US media has any credibility at all (outside of certain sections of the US population) is truly a joke.

They lost credibility long ago, we just didn't have any alternatives untill the web and blogging came along. As far as Bush not being impeached, his term isn't over yet. And, if Karl Rove is the "brain" you seem to think he is, then what he did was no accident. I'm still looking for indictments here. :)
