spitfire... as a newbie, I'd say most of you are quite welcoming...
a bit odd at times... funnier than hell.... sometimes scary... and it's all a little off the wall.  But somehow I'm managing to fit right in!  LOL

Oh yeah, this is the UNEDITED reality show.

All of our good and bad points are still intact.

And what do ya mean I post about the weird crap that goes through my mind? (grumble grumble grumble thinks I'm thinking about weird crap huh? grumble grumble)

posted by FactorFiction on July 10, 2005 at 6:27 AM | link to this | reply

As a newbie
It is interesting becoming acquainted with the different people who have been here for awhile--observing who is pals with whom, watching one of the blogs "heat up", etc. So yeah. ., it's kind of like a show.

Well,
I guess I do need to trim my comments down a bit.  Thanks for the comment Krisles.  I know I overdo it, but it's so hard to carry out commentus interruptus.  It can drive you through the ceiling.          OK... NOW!!!     JJ ....   OOPS!!  Didn't quite make it!!

SpitFire70
As usual, very insightful post! As I'm just about to pass my 60 day mark, I can say it is weird for a newbie at first...and I would say it is like a reality show neighborhood....you know, different reality shows within a neighborhood...that's how I would define it.  And, I am so glad to see that someone writes longer comments than I do..JJ does...I guess I've noticed that before but never really noticed it until the post today by Ariela about paragraph comments. Hey, that's another thing..this place is educational.

lmao

Yer right!  It's gotta be pretty odd for a newbie when they come along--we are our own reality show!

Spiffie,

It's Virtual Reality Acres.  Let us start with virtual reality.  By definition, if it is virtual it is not reality, but rather a simulation of reality that seems real.  Also, by definition, if is reality it cannot be virtual because virtual, by definition, is not reality.  So what is it?  Reality or virtuality?  Does that qualify it for a Reality Show?  Well, are Reality Shows real or virtual?  Only a fool would consider that phony crap to be real.  But they do occur with no high-tech simulations, so does that make them real?  We seem to have an unresolvable paradox, so what do we do?

In such a double-bind situation the sensible person takes the third, often unseen, alternative: a psychological split with reality.  In creating the schism between themselves and reality they go into the state that was named by the word schism: Schizophrenia.  Does this solve the problem?  Yes, it is a state in which nothing makes sense, so both the pode and the antipode can coexist without conflict.

So, is everyone nuts?  Those who stay on certainly seem to develop those traits.  Are they fodder for a Reality Show?  What better candidates could be found?  Just don't try to get them to eat cockroach stew.  Someone could get hurt trying to force that issure.

Thanks, I had to say that....   JJ

Ariala,
Is there a reality reality? Really? I think it's out of my reach if there is.

Haha--It's like a freak show in here! lol...it's a neighborhood so UNLIKE Mr. Rogers, because we can hide behind our computers...that makes some of us bold and willing to let people see into the dark depraved cavities of our minds...btw...I'm just curious...have you been reading that blog of mine?? I haven't seen any comments from you on it...

FUNNY and WEIRD as always...gotta love the spitfire.

Interesting Observation, Spitfire I knew there was something about this....
place. I was under the impression that it was that island in 'Lord of the Flies' or 'Fantasy Island'. Damn, now I'm going to have to change my mindset. LOL

LOL, no kidding...I think it's definitely a reality show...I hope certain
parts of it stay in the reality realm of Internet only, and that some blossom into reality reality...good post.  Entertaining!
