I think I will be passing on the new Batman
I find the Batman serious to be waaaaaaaaay to dark. I was disappointing with the previous movies. I guess from Batman, I desire something light-hearded, as the reruns of the television show offers.

I think this new Batman will not appeal strongly to children as did the Adam-West-one.

Yeah, I think you're right Talion. The playboy Bruce Wayne came out in a very strong contrast with his alter-ego "hero".

Finally, they got it right, not just with a darker Batman, but with the "worthless playboy" ala Paris Hilton Bruce Wayne as well.

I think it's one of the very best films of the year.
I really appreciated Christopher Nolan's noble attempt to actually create a "real" movie. By using
serious actors and a
serious storyline... as opposed to simply shoe-horning "big name" stars into some flimsy film devised solely to sell merchandise.
"Batman Begins" seems less a "superhero movie" than a dark, urban crime story.
