Most definitly. I started reading King after watching The Stand. Read his books ever since. Didn't watch too much of Kingdom Hospital. Wasn't it a remake of a British show?

Kingdom Hospital was bad; that is an understatement!
It was horrible; since it was by King, I watched the first episode and quit after about 20 minutes into the second episode, around the time of the first commercial.
Stand by Me was one of the best movies by King, in my opinion. Green Mile did not do the book justice. The trouble with most of the movies based on King novels is that they are a mere shadow of the book, the book being too long and too complex to handle well in a movie format.

Oh, that's right!
There were a bunch of references to it in "Kingdom Hospital". (Boy, that was an awful show, by the way.)
Not really a big fan of King. Although, his work has inspired many a fine film... "The Dead Zone", "Carrie", "Christine", "Stand By Me", "The Shawshank Redemption", "Dolores Claiborne", etc. Of course, his work has also inspired many a
horrible film, too. Remember "Maximum Overdrive"?

He was hit by a minivan a few years ago, and was in dire straits for a while, but has survived and written much since then. He is still bitter toward the p erson who hit him and mentions it in many of his pieces.
