Distance is a great idea...
for you to travel and enjoy yourself, find yourself, start over. Let me tell you - I wasted six and a half years with a guy who was all wrong for me. I wish someone would have kicked me in the head when my reply was always, "but I love him." Those feelings will find a new home with a guy better suited for you.
I don't mean to be harsh, dear. I know when you are in the middle of it, it seems like such an internal tug of war. Read the book "Too Good to Leave, Too Bad to Stay." It helped me break away and start over.
I am very happy in a new relationship with a wonderful guy. It can be done.

Its tough to offer any advice. I would think personal achievement first before the love commitment.

it is so hard when feelings just sort of overwhelm us and tend to complicate things at times... its good that you can still think of other things...
