The truth is
that I was into drugs and alcohol at the time so don;t remember what happened for the most part. We had dated for about a year then broken up. I was living in Texas and she was here in New Mexico. I decided to go back into the Army, and at the same time decided that I should settle down. Moved my stuff back here before reporting to Ft. Hood, called her up and over coffee proposed. Some how it lasted 14 years. I've been a whole lot more careful about those kinds of snap decisions.

Danceswith

Not sure that I will be of any help here.

1) we dated for three years

2) I knew when she told me that the twins would be born soon.

3) I asked right after her father showed me his gun collection

I made my hubby read this just now
and here is his answer. He knew it was love at first sight, and my sassy attitude sparked his interest even further. He also says that my bedroom eyes were killer. "smacking him for that one". He proposed to me exactly three days after we met. Something must have worked out, because we are getting ready to celebrate 20 years of marriage.

  1. I knew I loved her after the second date, but it took another few months before I was willing to admit she was “the one.”
  2. See The Moment Of Truth for the details. There is nothing in particular that sealed the deal. It was the way she is as a whole.
  3. Now that I think about it, I never officially proposed to her nor did she ask me. We lived together and there was an unspoken understanding that we would eventually get married. Our talk of marriage began when we (mostly my wife) began planning it.
