Some people are tired of it, avante-garde. But most people aren't. Most
want their religion to support their ideals, not the other way around. They tend to be anti-progressive, conservative, and traditionalist.  Faith is easily bolstered by visions of the "golden eras" that only exist in the mind.

i don't think there's anything to be frightened of
a lot of people are feeling more spiritual, and want the relaxed atmosphere that these churches provide. i listen to Joel Osteen a lot, and you don't hear him teaching of shame and guilt. he is inspiring, and uplifting, without a lot of scripture and thee's and thou's. people are just tired of it.

Saul, I've never been able to relate to such gatherings...

Good, Ariala. We've got the beginnings of our own little movement, without
the bovine mentality.

Blame it all on Western Sizzlin steak houses, the NFL, Billy Graham,
and the Beatles.  Geez, I despise herd mentality.

Give me a quiet garden, a grove, the wilderness to this herd gathering
