Unidentified Hacker,

Good job on the research.  People are always quoting the founding fathers, but it's worth noting that they were also slaveowners and misogynists, men of their day.  So, I hope we've grown a little since then.  Any faith that is based on coercion is not a real faith at all, in my opinion, so how could forced prayer in school be a valid form or expression of real conviction?

Yes, that is true. When we here "God", we do think of the Christian god. It should be noted that "In Got We Trust", the motto on our currency, was conceived with the Christian god in mind. In 1861, Samuel Chase, the Secretary of the Treasure claimed, "No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins."

Well thanks =). It's all sitting out there just waiting to be discovered by the people who don't yet know about it.

Interesting post. It maybe society's convention that whenever "God" is mentioned, it refers to "the Christian God".

Hey, thanks for stopping by =). You're right, I'm not sure that this will ever get through to many people who are opposed to what I'm saying, but perhaps with enough straightforward, unbiased information and facts, it will become too large to ignore? I dunno.

Hacker
You've presented a nice sequence to advance knowledge of what is certainly accurate. Of course, people who only listen to Fox News and their church are not going to be moved by mere history. Thanks. Hemlocker
