grownups still act like the spoiled children they were
so it is with Christians -- per what you have said.

"Every religion is tolerated but Christianity"

Every other religion is tolerated much more because they are minority, and you have to step carefully in order not to appear racist in the reactionary society we have.

Idiotic christian protesters against, for instance, the Jerry Springer Opera should not be tolerated. They are destructive. In fact I would go so PiC as to say I totally disrespect word-for-word bible believers and think they should have their rights to believe such taken away. (Though, that would not be democratic and I do believe in democracy, so I wouldn't advocate it really).

But another part of it is just the christian's jealous viewpoint; they only see what they are denied and what the other religions are allowed. The christians do have considerable clout, don't worry.

Christians have to be Christians.
they are not.
the real values have been warped.
and for sure they are NOT persecuted.
Christians basically rule this country.
But they want it seems to exclude others.
not all Christians -- check out what John Danforth says in some of my blogs.
all they have to do is leave others alone and others will leave them alone.

painter

Talk about defensive!  I've come across websites and written tracts where Christians say they feel like pariahs who are being persecuted in this country like the Jews were in Nazi Germany!  Every religion is tolerated but Christianity. They blame it on everything from the ACLU to Christian parents who send their children to secular schools and just don't seem to understand that you can serve only one master.  What's going on here?  Hemlocker

"Truth?
We're not interested in truth." Quote from "Luther" by one of the Cardinals in Rome.

Good movie, by the way. I recommend it.

yes
I think that that which does not help you move forward, that which does not help you grow in love must be invalid, and those things that do help you move forward and grow in love must be valid...
