i've expressed what a "relationship with Jesus" really should be.
The New Testament emphasizes time and time again that any such "relationship with Jesus" that isolates the believer from doing good to other humans is a false one, without true foundation.
Jesus, Paul, James, John, and, I would think, Peter -- all preached and wrote that we prove our relationship with god and jesus by our relationship with those around us.
the new christianity will move from obsolete practices and beliefs that have nothing to do with doing good in day to day life to learning and teaching how to do good every moment of every day.

Hi, I respectfully disagree. There is more to a relationship with Jesus
than just forgiveness of sin. Christianity is not slipping away, this world still needs Jesus.
