avant-garde - I can say much the same thing but must conceed that over
time, with maturity and as one begins to further understand human behaviour, a greater certainty in one's convictions becomes a natural process. Especially if one believes things contrary to popularly held opinions. For example: I am certain that Jesus Christ was just another man like you and I. Though I may have had doubts about his diety status when I was younger, I became more convinced of this as I studied history over the years and have witnessed the great lengths that people will go to in furtherance of what they want to be true.

i've never accepted anything
that someone has tried to convince me as truth. but, i've considered everything and that takes independence. i think if more people would not accept things at face value, there wouldn't be the violence we are experiencing.
